Appsflyer Cuts Costs by 29% Without Losing Leads

Challenge

Appsflyer, a global leader in mobile attribution and marketing analytics, needed to reduce digital acquisition costs without sacrificing performance. Branded search was a high-intent channel, but rising CPCs across 11 campaigns were inflating spend. The challenge was clear: preserve lead quality and volume while driving greater efficiency in a competitive keyword environment.

Strategy

To meet these goals, we activated Primelis Signal, our proprietary performance bidding tech, across Appsflyer’s branded keyword portfolio. The objective was not to cut coverage, but to minimize cost per lead through algorithmic CPC optimization.

The strategy centered on three principles:

  • Reduce bids to the minimum effective threshold without impacting visibility

  • Maintain consistent MQL volume through real-time performance adaptation

  • Scale results efficiently across markets, using early wins to inform global rollout

Execution

To bring the brand strategy to life, we deployed it across 4 core capabilities:

  • Primelis Signal Activation on Branded Search: We deployed Primelis Signal across 95 branded keywords spanning 11 campaigns. The system dynamically adjusted bids based on real-time auction data and conversion performance, ensuring Appsflyer stayed visible without overpaying for clicks already backed by brand equity.

  • Real-Time Cost Optimization: CPCs were automatically pulled back to the lowest point that sustained engagement and lead flow. This precision allowed the brand to cut spend without compromising on funnel performance.

  • Performance Monitoring at Scale: Engagement rates and MQL volume were tracked in real time to validate the impact. A stable blended CTR of approximately 55 percent confirmed that visibility and user intent remained strong.

  • Global Rollout Based on Local Success: Following initial success, the strategy was extended to new markets including Japan. Early data showed continued performance consistency, confirming Primelis Signal’s ability to scale across regions.

Results

  • - 29%

    in Global Ad Spend
  • - 40%

    in Cost per MQL
  • + 25%

Impact

Appsflyer turned branded search into a cost-efficient lead engine. With Primelis Signal optimizing bids automatically, the brand reduced spend by nearly 30 percent in one month while driving 25 percent more qualified leads.

Early rollouts in Japan delivered a 42.95 percent CPC reduction with no drop in engagement, confirming the system’s adaptability across markets.

With Primelis Signal in place, Appsflyer gained a scalable bidding framework that protects lead performance while tightening acquisition costs. The strategy is now expanding globally to support long-term, performance-first growth.
